Plat'Bos, Chenin Blanc, Swartland, 2025

Racy, cleansing and vital, the 2025 Plat’Bos is built around lean citrus fruit, pink fruit and grapefruit pith. Its naturally low pH gives it a particularly tense profile, with stony minerality and a firm, linear structure slowly emerging with air. It is reputed as one of the Cape’s best Chenins. The 2025 promises to be a long-lived expression and will require patience in bottle. Plat’Bos is a north-west-facing vineyard planted in 1981 on pure decomposed granite and picked over multiple passes. Just 1,200 bottles were produced.
