Tending toward more citrus and flint supporting full ripe fruits, the Ridge Chardonnay comes from a high-density vineyard on a cool, eastern slope on the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge with low-vigour, stony, clay-rich Bokkeveld shale soil. The 2023 was picked with great vibrant, natural acidities and saw an extra two months in barrel, totalling 13 months in Burgundian barriques.
