The style of the 2021 Blanco de Parcela Fuente de las Hontanillas is as far removed from the style of the reds as possible. You'd expect a sensual, ripe, generous and oaky white a la Kistler or similar, but this is delicate, low in alcohol (12.5%), soft, young and tender with an appley nose and a light and austere palate with pungent flavors and acidity (pH 3.0 and 6.92 grams of acidity), sharp and dry. It's a blend of Verdejo and Albillo that matured in barrel for 10 months, but the oak is unnoticeable. 6,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2022.
