Barolo, 2018

Available Vintages
justerini & brooks tasting note

A lifted wild strawberry nose, followed by an equally open, charming, and energetic palate. Juicy and easy to like, with a crisp, fresh line of acidity and gentle tannic grip giving this direction and definition. A beautiful and typical La Morra style Barolo. A very attractive ‘regular’ Barolo that is a blend of wine from cru vineyards in La Morra including Croera (now known by its wider name Serradenari) Roncaglie, Boiolo and Fossati. The wine is aged for 24 months in 20% new oak barriques. Morra - 14.5 alc

93/100Monica Larner,Robert Parker Wine Advocate

The M. Marengo 2018 Barolo shows a lean and luminous appearance with delicate aromas of pressed rose, cassis, earth and a twist of orange peel. That citrusy note adds a lot of freshness and energy to the bouquet. The fruit blended here comes from the Serradenari, Boiolo, Fossati and Roncaglie vineyards in La Morra. Some 18,000 bottles were produced.
