Textura da Estrela, Tinto, Dao, 2018

Produced from 100% granitic vineyards ranging from 25-60 years old, the Textura da Estrela has a cool-fruited profile with more finely pitched tannins and a linear shape on the palate. Pressed red flowers, raspberry, some earth and cocoa and pine. Measured, well put together and clear. An amazing effort given this is the maiden vintage! Fermented in large wooden vat with 35% whole bunches and 30 day cuvaison. Aged in used French oak vat and barriques for 15 months. 35% Field Blend, 30% Touriga Nacional, 20% Jaen and 15% Alfrochiero.
