La Combe Verte, Pinot Noir, 2021

The Combe Verte bottlings represent the estate’s calling cards and as such are given the same level of care and attention as the single vineyard bottlings. The 2021 vintage is composed of fruit from the volcanic, Eola-Amity Hills vineyards of Justice, Koosah, Sojeau and Witness tree, blended with the powerful old vine fruit from the marine sedimentary Freedom Hill vineyard. Offering up lush fruit but also a crisp structure, this is a Pinot that shows off the wonderful balance of the 2021 vintage very well. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in barrique for 11 months, of which 25% was new. 15% whole cluster was used for fermentation.
