Gewurztraminer, Les Treilles du Loup, 2022
A succulently-styled, unforced and attractive Gewurztraminer. It presents more structure than the 2021 did, with a faint, fashionable savouriness on the finish. It is otherwise blessed with a wash of yellow fruits such as sharon with supporting notes of quince and honey. Bold but beautifully balanced and not an exotic fruit bomb - there is complexity here. The source for this bottling is 40-50 year old vines in the

The 2022 Gewurztraminer Treilles du Loup is from the Wolfreben lieu-dit on granitic sand on the plain. Damask rose is gentle on the nose, smooth peach is rounded and juicy on the palate, alive with tingling orange zest. There are just 10 g/L of residual sweetness, but they just boost the fruit, peach and orange peel. The finish is long, balanced and perfumed. (Dry)
