Les Vignes de Precheur, 2021
Les Vignes de Precheur is a wine that has seen great success in local Alsatian restaurants owing to its versatility and levity. A blend of varieties (Pinot Gris, Muscat, Riesling, Sylvaner and Auxerrois) sourced from the lower blocks of the Schlossberg and co-fermented. Simple yet vibrant green apples, lime and lemons with a touch of ginger and early picked strawberries from the garden.
critic reviews
The 2021 Les Vignes du Précheur is from the Prediger lieu-dit , i.e. preacher or précheur in French, just underneath the Furstentum Grand Cru. This is a blend of Riesling, Auxerrois, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner and Muscat. Auxerrois and Pinot Gris are harvested first and co-fermented; Riesling, Sylvaner and Muscat are also co-fermented, and then the two lots are blended and aged together. This is fresh, bright, light-bodied and agile, with just a touch of aromatics and a lovely seam of acidity. (Bone-dry)
