Château Clerc Milon Rothschild, 5ème Cru Classé, Pauillac, 2012

More polished than the d'Armailhac, the 2012 Clerc Milon is crafted from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenere. Perfumed, heady, floral, with notes of blueberry, graphite, sweet vanilla and liquorice. Ripe strawberries and raspberry liqueur, good sweet fruit attack, lots of depth, with stones, flowers and a hint of pencil shavings. A charming Pauillac.
