Lacoste Borie, Pauillac, 2024
Lacoste Borie 2024 presents a classic bouquet with fragrant violets and pure, gravelly cassis leaping from the glass. Beautifully precise flavours unfold on the palate in gentle waves of bright fruit and fine minerality. Refreshing and detailed, it's a delightful expression of this terroir. A lovely wine, crafted from a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc.
critic reviews
The 2024 Lacoste-Borie offers light brambly red berry fruit on the nose that's laced with tobacco and pencil box scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft entry, grainy texture, light tannins and an easygoing, slightly attenuated finish. This is early drinking.
Strong floral edge, rosebud and raspberry leaf, attractive smoke, not hugely intense but this is full of pleasing sappy red fruits, 38hl/h yield, 24% new oak for ageing, Borie family owners.
Aromas of red berries, cassis and toasty oak introduce the 2024 Lacoste-Borie, a medium-bodied, soft and round wine with a discreetly herbal edge. It's a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc.
