The 2024 de Rayne Vigneau is pale lemon-straw in color. Notes of apple sauce and poached pears jump from the glass, followed by hints of ginger tea and lemon balm. The palate is full-on rich and opulent with a lively line and very long finish.
The 2024 Rayne-Vigneau has a relatively light bouquet that doesn't quite deliver the complexity of recent vintages, though it is clean with pleasant dried honey aromas. The palate is better, with ample weight, fine acidity and dried honey mixed with peach and marmalade notes that lead to a stem ginger-tinged finish. One of the more early-drinking vintages from Rayne-Vigneau, but it has class.
Marmalade, bitter orange, citrus, saffron, quince, liqourice root, enjoyable, luscious. 110g/l residual sugar, harvest from the 12th of October,
