Medium to deep garnet-purple in color. Is a touch musty and dusty to start off, opening out to notes of black raspberries and loam with a waft of sautéed herbs. The light to medium-bodied palate is flat and largely flavorless with soft acidity and a chewy finish.
The 2024 Sénéjac was matured in 20% new oak. It has an upfront bouquet with brambly red fruit, briar and light pencil shavings scents, which are cohesive and attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with finely-knit tannins. Certainly one of the more elegant Haut-Médoc wines this vintage, with a pretty pastille-like finish.
Sandalwood and cedar on the opening, brambled fruits, white pepper, austere but with juiciness on the finish. 48hl/h yield, 20% new oak for ageing.
The 2024 Senejac is a soft, medium-bodied red marked by animal aromas of barnyard and leather.
