A glorious cuvee suffused with fine red fruits, tiny jewel-like berry flavours over complex, savoury forest and woodland herb notes. There’s real complexity here, as arboreal notes and delicate spice play off the red fruits beautifully. With fantastic, even keeled balance, and a sense of refined persistence, this is an exceptionally refined Gevrey 1er cru with aromatic breadth and a romantic core of sweet red fruits. Top drawer. A fabulous Premier Cru situated at the top of the hill just above Ruchottes-Chambertin. Stony soils in a lofty position close to the woods, and an east/south-east exposition yields a racy, fresh elegant style of Gevrey.
