Gorgeous, fresh, mineral-soaked fruit with a hint of polished flagstone below. There’s class here, a sense of energy and detail as salty red fruits merge into notes of dried flower and briary hedgerow fruit. A one-hectare plot, brilliantly situated just below the L’Enfant Jesus vineyard.

The 2023 Beaune Grèves Les Trois Journaux 1er Cru has a perfumed and floral nose, though it doesn't quite have the delineation of the best examples. The palate is medium-bodied, quite muscular and structured in style with a dash of black pepper on the finish. This will need a couple of years in bottle.
