Puligny Montrachet, Champs Canet, 1er Cru, 2022

Fine boned and less demonstrative than some of the other wines in the range, with a salt driven mouthwatering intensity and racy acidity. A harvest of very old vines that gave small, concentrated berries, with plenty of dry extract. The result is an elemental wine of mineral drive and tension. About as Meursault-like as Puligny gets, this hails from a 0.5ha parcel next door to Meursault Perrières.
