Domaine de Montille
Meursault, Les Perrières, 1er Cru, 2022
justerini & brooks tasting note
This is quite classy, though more about expressive, inviting, open fruit than overt drive and intensity. A textural, fluid, flowing Perrières, not dripping in stones, with richer butter base notes and a salty finish. More depth here than the St Christophe; calm layers and plenty of rich, reverberating fruit that builds through the finish. From the higher part of the Perrières vineyard, so often particularly mineral even for Perrières.

The 2022 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru retains mineralité and tension on the nose with a very slight reduction. The palate is well-balanced with a crisp line of acidity and more mineralité compared to other Perrières I have tasted. Elegant and quite persistent on the finish. Excellent.
