Meursault, Les Perrières, 1er Cru, 2023

Great definition on the nose of this Perrieres, followed by an intense, serious, yet nimble palate of great focussed power. The focus here, unsurprisingly, is stones rather than fruit, with long crushed rock notes that linger long on the palate. Perrieres by name…a wonderful wine that repays some concentration, revealing a little more depth with every sip. From the higher part of the Perrieres vineyard, so particularly mineral even for Perrieres. Raised in a combination of demi-muid and barrique, of which just 20% was new oak.
