Domaine de Montille
Pommard, Les Pezerolles, 1er Cru, 2010
justerini & brooks tasting note
? whole cluster fermentation. More open and probably more Volnay like than the Taillepieds; very pretty, ripe red cherry fruits, notes of fruit blossom and perfumed berries. Classically built, structured but toned and certainly not dry austere or heavy; beautifully balanced, long juicy, and uplifting on the finish.

(two-thirds vendange entier): Palish red. Reticent but complex perfume of redcurrant, medicinal red cherry, dried flowers, mint, mocha and forest floor. Silky-sweet and spherical, with dense, savory red fruit flavors hiding any obvious stem influence. Plump, sexy wine with gentle, sweet tannins and excellent length. Tasty enough already that drinking it now would not be a crime. This has turned out very well.
