Vosne Romanée, Les Chaumes, 1er Cru, 2016

A distinct step up in structure and weight from the Vosne Villages, there is substance and powerful structured fruit here. Deep and full whilst retaining a crisp acidity, intense mainly red fruit, notes of red cherry and cherry stone, touches of herb and raspberry. One of the lower lying Vosne Premiers Crus, Chaumes produces very broad, ripe, plump wines.
