Nuits St Georges, Aux Boudots, 1er Cru, 2017
Fruitier and more floral than the Pruliers. Very aromatic notes of rose and cherry blossom with earthy hints. Very open and silky, broad voluptuous flavours. More immediately seductive than the Pruliers but less bite and intensity. Boudots, well situated next to Vosne-Romanée Malconsorts, produces some of the bigger, richer and broader style of Nuits whilst keeping a silky texture.
critic reviews
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru has one of the most vivacious bouquets of the range, featuring shimmering red cherries, wild strawberry, bergamot and hints of Earl Grey coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine, filigreed tannin, silky-smooth texture and a slightly savory, persistent finish. A supremely well crafted wine from Grivot.
