A little closed on the nose but the most inviting satin-textured palate. Focused and gripping but smooth and alluring. Finely balanced flavours of red cherry, plum, hedgerow fruit and a hint of bright autumn raspberry. Elegant with a toned power. Stylish and persistent. The lighter sandier clay and limestone soils of the Clos du Chapitre tends to make for a finer, rounder and fruitier style of Aloxe than the classic vineyards such as Fournières and Vercots.
