    The 2018 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru is unfortunately demonstrating a lot of reduction on the nose, though there appears to be sufficient fruit behind it. The palate is balanced with dark berry fruit, cola and a subtle pepperiness. Not complex, and showing a bit of fatigue towards the finish. A Beaune with not a terribly long shelf-life. Errant bottle? Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.
