Meursault, Les Boucheres, 1er Cru, 2024
Excellent delineation and tension to the salty stony fruit nose. This has a real aromatic intensity; thrilling. The palate sees a great release of flavours with some earthy richness as well as a zesty citrus drive. Lovely poise and effortless persistence that signifies more to come. Power, well harnessed. An excellent vineyard, surrounded by Poruzots, Goutte d’Or and Genevrières, and the biggest appellation in the Génot-Boulanger holdings (only Roulot have a bigger parcel of Bouchères).
critic reviews
The 2024 Meursault Les Bouchères 1er Cru was taciturn on the nose when I tasted it at the Domaine. Clearly, this does not want to come out to play. The palate is fresh with a twist of bitter lemon but this just attenuates in the second half unlike some of the Domaine's other cuvées in 2024. More early drinking.
