Chambolle Musigny, 1er Cru, 2024
justerini & brooks tasting note
A complex and aromatically complete Chambolle, with crystalline red fruit, poise and a flowing silk-like texture. A vivid core, lovely energy and touches of spice interwoven with the fruit. Seductive yet lively; a particularly successful wine in 2024

The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru is a blend of La Bornique, Les Plantes, Combottes, Sentiers and Groseilles. It has a lovely nose with a raspberry and blueberry scented bouquet, quite floral, showing more intensity than the Village. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. There is just a touch of reduction on the liquorice-tinged finish but that does not disguise the energy and persistence. Give this a couple of years in bottle if you can.
