Chambolle Musigny, Les Feusselottes, 1er Cru, Frére et Soeurs, 2020
The blend now includes fruit from an additional plot (les Grandes Mures), as of 2020, and this appears to have altered the style of the wine significantly. For this is a distinctly aromatic, ethereal example compared to the gripping, taut Feusselottes of old. Beautiful, seductive fruit, alluring scents of rose and cherry blossom leading onto flavours wild strawberry and raspberry.
critic reviews
Richer and more dramatic than the Cras, the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes (Meo-Camuzet Frere & Soeurs) bursts with aromas of red cherries, ripe berries, loamy soil, orange rind and spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, it's textural and seamless, with lively acids and a long, saline finish.
The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru includes additional parcels this year. This has a little more cohesion than the Les Cras, more fruit concentration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, lower in acidity than expected, quite fleshy towards the finish. Just needs to kick on a little more.
