Auxey Duresses, Blanc, Vieilles Vignes, 2022

A North-East facing vineyard of 70-year-old vines, on soils with more clay in them than found in Les Crais. There’s a corresponding ripeness to the 2022, but it’s still citrus dominated, with an expansive middle that neatens up to a teardrop shaped finish. Lovely harmony and intensity at the end. Smart stuff!
