Robert Chevillon
Bourgogne, Rouge, 2018
justerini & brooks tasting note
Bold, powerful Bourgogne. A lovely, smooth texture underpins the rich salt-infused fruit flavours of plum, damson and kirsch. An incredible amount of character and stuffing for a Bourgogne. Aged in two-year-old oak barrels.

The 2018 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which comes from vines within Nuits Saint-Georges, has a glorious bouquet for a generic red Burgundy, featuring brambly red fruit; maraschino cherries develop with time. The palate is medium-bodied, the 10% new oak lending a little weight on the midpalate, and there is fine definition and length on the finish. This comes highly recommended.
