Great intensity for a Bourgogne; this will need a year or two after bottling before being approached. Deep, rich and intense, ripe berry fruit, notes of raspberry liqueur, firm ripe gripping tannins. Very good.

The 2018 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which comes from vines within Nuits Saint-Georges, has a glorious bouquet for a generic red Burgundy, featuring brambly red fruit; maraschino cherries develop with time. The palate is medium-bodied, the 10% new oak lending a little weight on the midpalate, and there is fine definition and length on the finish. This comes highly recommended.
