Bourgogne, Pinot Noir, 2022
A salty, bittersweet, mouthwatering Bourgogne that bursts with salty red and dark berry hedgerow fruit and finishes with a sense of perfect balance. “These wines are easy to understand, they are open”, Nicolas remarked, and truly it is hard to see how a wine like this isn’t going to win people’s affection. Two thirds of this comes from the Vougeot commune and one third Morey St Denis. De-stalked and aged in one and two-year-old barrels.
critic reviews
The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge has an attractive, slightly tertiary bouquet, with perhaps a few stems here lending complexity. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins. This is a pretty Bourgogne Rouge with crisp, pure fruit and an elegant finish. Quite delicious. Tasted at merchants' 2022 Burgundy tastings in London.
