    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Enveloping, broad but noble damson and griotte fruit woven together by a fine but strong thread of tannins. A reassuring but gentle grip reinforces the generous, ripe fruit. Fullsome and charming. A hint of salt adds crunch and seasoning to the fruit, whilst a damson liqueur note brings richness to the finish. Successful, hearty and satisfying. Fermented with 20 percent whole bunches and aged in used oak barrels only.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées is raised in used barrels with 20% whole bunches. Blackberry and briary on the nose, laced with a touch of seawater. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, fresh and vibrant with a slightly chalky textured finish. Plenty of vigor here - this elegant Gevrey-Chambertin should drink well for 10-12 years.
