    A darker more complex profile than the regular St Joseph, structured but velvety, notes of bramble, cherry, pepper spice and coal dust. Long, driving and beautifully textured. A sense of composed and focused power. Superb. A blend of old Syrah vines in the commune of Chavanay in the north part of St Joseph near Condrieu. Made from 100% de-stalked Syrah and aged in 20% new oak barriques usually for 15-16 months.
