Syrah

Syrah´s origins have been the source of much dispute over the years, though no-one is under any doubt as to its true, spiritual home; The Northern Rhône. Hermitage, Cote Rôtie, Cornas and Saint Joseph are all appellations that owe their fortune to the sweet-and-savoury mix of vibrant black fruits, spice, black pepper and smoked meat of Syrah grown on these granitic slopes.

Syrah is also a key blending component in the Southern Rhône where it adds spice, freshness and dark fruits to the famous GSM blends of Châteauneuf du Pape, Gigondas and Côtes du Rhône wines. Further afield, Syrah is also producing magnificent wines in Australia (where it´s commonly known as Shiraz), Chile, South Africa and the USA.
