Generous ripe fine and floral, so completely seductive, such harmony. Juicy sweet bramble and loganberry fruits, notes of red cherry, violet and cherry blossom. Suave but focused and hauntingly long. Now that Clusel-Roch's vineyards are 32-years-old they are starting to produce outstanding wine and as such Clusel Roch decided, as of the 2009 vintage, to bottle it up as a separate cuvée. The bottom of the slope still goes into the main Cote Rotie blend. Aged for around 16 months in a maximum of 15% new oak.

Lurid violet. Highly expressive aromas of black raspberry and boysenberry, smoky minerals, candied licorice and olive carry exotic spice and mineral overtones. Densely packed and energetic on the palate, displaying silky texture and superb clarity to the candied black and blue fruit, floral pastille and spicecake flavors. Seamless and alluringly sweet on the strikingly persistent finish, which features a lively mineral quality that adds vivacity and precision.
