Cornas, Les Billes Noires, 2005

From the high up Arlettes vineyard, this cuvée is fermented without any stalks. An opulent and incredibly refined Cornas that absolutely sings with perfumed black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, plum and violet notes. Despite the wine's great finesse there is a noticeable underlying weight and drive behind it, whilst a core of beautifully silky ripe tannins provide fantastic focus and structure.
