Deep but measured and inviting with bewitching floral notes and herbal touches, the main Cuvee L’Instinct is a classy St Joseph. Produced with 80% whole clusters, fermented and aged for a year in 600L demi-muids, just 5% new oak. A selection of parcels from across the steep hillside behind the winery.

Opaque ruby. Displays ripe black and blue fruit and smoked meat scents, along with smoky mineral, licorice and potpourri accents. Fleshy and appealingly sweet, offering juicy, mineral- and spice-tinged black raspberry and mulberry flavors and a touch of smoky bacon. Gently chewy tannins frame a broad, smoky finish that echoes the licorice and floral notes.
