René Rostaing
Condrieu, La Bonnette, 2024
justerini & brooks tasting note
A well-balanced and successful year for Condrieu, the 2024 La Bonnette was picked in mid-September quickly and between showers. Clear and light on its feet with malo blocked, it offers ripe yellow and citrus fruits with a light florality and herbal finish. Produced from a single vineyard planted on sandy granitic soils, raised exclusively in tank to preserve freshness. 'Wood in Condrieu is a violence!', according to Rostaing.

The 2024 Condrieu La Bonnette comes shimmering with pronounced lemon flesh, just-ripe apricots, white peach and spring blossom. Mid-bodied and zesty, the 2024 is a markedly crisp and revitalizing Condrieu from Pierre Rostaing, turning toward the close with subnotes of lemon peel on the clean finish.
