Described by World of Fine Wine as "one of the most important wine producers in Germany of the past 20 years". Huber are renowned all over the world for their beautiful, site-specific reds. However, they’re also producing top end Chardonnays of precision, drive and finesse. The Malterdinger, Chardonnay is no different - a touch of smoke is balanced by a beautiful interplay of citrus and white stone fruits. The palate is creamy and textured with a long, crisp and chalky finish; wild-fermented and matured sur lie in small oak barrels (30% new).
