The Juffer Sonnenuhr GG has a more profound and introverted bouquet, less sparky and spontaneous, more on the backlit herbs and stone fruits with a darker, slate and earthy tone to the finish. This is a gorgeous GG that shows a very clear, cool, crackling Mosel slate feel with a sleek core of sophisticated fruit. Aging is carried out in fuder barrels.

The 2023 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Grosses Gewächs comes from vines between 35 and 80 years old. Gentle reduction adds a flinty note to the nose, while the palate is superbly light and bright. Subtle yet vividly pure orange peel colors the elongated palate, filling it with aromatic zestiness. This wine is elegant, slender and pure in equal measure.
