Maximin Grünhauser Herrenberg, Riesling, Eiswein, 2012

Picked on the 12th of the 12th of the 12th, this has a nose that beams with punchy bright flavours of marmalade, spun sugar and citrus zest. There is great extract here, an almost chewy intensity to the fruit, yet at the same time great vivacity with honeyed grapefruit, crystalline lemons and quince. An explosive Eiswein of very pure flavours.
