Crisp and clear on the nose initially, it unfurls on the palate with a layer of silky density and creamy stone fruits. Impeccably balanced, with a lovely weighted finish – dangerously easy to drink but with a grown-up clarity to it too. Elderflower, pear and cool berries emerge with air, while the acidity gradually tightens, becoming more citric and saline. Halenberg's blue slate and quartzite soils typically produce some of the estate's most structured and mineral wines, and that underlying seriousness is beautifully concealed beneath the effortless fruit here. 8.5% ABV.
