The 2019 Monzingen Riesling trocken Fruhtau is pure and pretty reductive but highly attractive on the nose, displaying ripe white peach aromas along with notes of crushed stones and iron. Sourced in the Fruhlingsplatzchen, this is a juicy, refined and elegant Riesling with a fine tannin grip and good power that gives mouthfeel and impression. It has a very good finish with mineral tension and a touch of unfermented sugar. Tasted as a sample in May 2020.
