The 2020 Monzingen Riesling trocken Fruhtau comes from younger vines in the Fruhlingsplatzchen and opens with a clear, fine and reductive bouquet with coolish stony and herbal notes. Crystalline and very elegant on the palate, this is a tight, straight and still challenging, very mineral dry Riesling that will benefit from longer bottle aging. The finish is long and enormously salty. A wine to keep. 12.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in July 2021.
