The 2021 Monzingen Riesling trocken Fruhtau is clear, precise and more filigreed on the nose that shows bright fruit intermingled with stony, herbal and stewed champignon aromas as well as notes of parsley and, stunningly enough, oyster shell. On the palate, this is a coolish, elegant, persistently saline and persistent dry Riesling that matches many lighter dishes based on mussels, oysters, fish and vegetable. A fabulous, very stimulating and refined dry Riesling from the Fruhlingspatzchen. Natural cork. 12% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.
