Barolo, 2022
Silky, plush red fruits with a redcurrant and powdery chalky note, spearmint, more on ruby and preserved fruits, particularly strawberry and cherry, framed by a veneer of welcoming French oak, in texture rather than taste. Nicely shaped and ready to drink from release. Produced from vines in Sorrano (Serralunga), Sarmassa (a plot on the border with Le Liste, in the Barolo commune), Pernano (Castiglione Falletto) and Bricco Ambrogio (Roddi). Aged for two years in neutral barrique.

The 2022 Barolo is a racy, juicy wine that will drink well on release. A burst of sweet red-toned fruit, new leather, rose petal, blood orange and sweet spice races across the palate. This fruity, forward Barolo will drink well for another decade or more. Vineyard sites are Sarmassa, Bricco Ambrogio, Sorano and Pernanno. This is so drinkable.
