A fabulous single vineyard from the Roddi comune (one of smallest areas for Barolo production more famous for its truffle hunting dog training centre) that averages 30 years old and benefits from a southerly exposure, this boasts an excellent quality of fruit. It is acutely precise and refined, delicately perfumed and high-toned, showing beautiful lush blackberry, blueberry and currant fruit supported by rich powerful but refined tannins. Very impressive.

The 2020 Barolo Bricco Ambrogio is a complex, alluring wine. Dried herbs, menthol, licorice, sage, mocha and lavender play off a core of purplish/black fruit. Dark and sensual, but not at all heavy, the 2020 has a ton to offer in a plush, immediate style. This is a very sexy Barolo.
