Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2008 The result of a much cooler vintage than its predecessor, this wine marries typical Quintarelli sensuality with fresh, spicy notes. Lovely, bright, aromatic red cherry fruit, juicy and silky with tell-tale “Quintarelli” kirsch characteristics complimented by more savoury hints of salt and pepper. Like a mini Amarone, half of the blend is made from grapes dried for 2 months, after fermentation the wine is then aged for 6 years in large used slavonian oak casks. 15% alcohol.
