Champagne Egly-Ouriet: The 2025 Collection
We are delighted to offer the latest releases from the iconic Ambonnay Grower Champagne house, Egly-Ouriet. Featuring wines disgorged in the summer of 2025, and now landed in the UK, this is the first offering of this new set of releases.
The range begins with two cuvees based on the tense, concentrated 2021 growing season – Les Premices and Les Vignes de Vrigny – both of which offer finely judged richness with wonderful clarity and precision.
Francis Egly’s style has become ever more refined in recent years – eschewing none of the power and depth that has always characterised his wines – while gaining in precision and finesse with every passing release. His entire approach is detail orientated, starting from the very careful tending of his old vines, harvesting fully ripe grapes, carrying out élevage in barrels before long ageing sur lie and disgorgement with low dosage. The results, as Antonio Galloni notes, offer a “striking interplay of richness and acid-driven intensity”.
Tasting the wines, we remain as impressed as ever; the range representing for many the pinnacle of the Grower Champagne movement, with an exacting aesthetic that results in huge demand the world over. Alongside the new disgorgements, which we expect to be in high demand, we are delighted to have a small number of late release magnums to offer from the modern-great vintage 2012 (99pts, The Wine Advocate).
“No winemaker in Champagne is more precise or meticulous, from vineyard to cellar.” - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
“Make no mistake about it, [Egly-Ouriet] is at the very top of the pecking order in Champagne today.” - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
