Delicate, elegant nose laden with mineral purity; wonderful balance and length on the palate, understated, beautifully smooth texture, layers of flavour and a light creamy freshness on a lingering finish - delicious!

96/100Lisa Perrotti-Brown,The Wine Independent

The 2007 Doisy-Vedrines is composed of 80% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, and 5% Muscadelle. Medium yellow-gold in color, it rolls out with orange marmalade, pineapple paste, and creme brulee scents, plus hints of chamomile, saffron, and spice cake. The palate delivers layer upon layer of citrus and spices, framed by fantastic tension and a satiny texture, finishing with epic length.

The 2007 Doisy-Védrines has a well-defined, quite generous bouquet with dried honey, peach skin and overripe Clementines; there is ample botrytis here, though not quite as nuanced as Daëne. The palate is well balanced with marmalade and quince, moderate depth, fine acidity, but maybe it has lost a little complexity on the finish in recent years. Still, this is a decent Barsac that ought to give another 15-30 years' drinking pleasure. Tasted at the 2007 horizontal in Sauternes.
