The Grand vin hails from one of the greatest terroirs in Bordeaux. We adore this handsome, aristocratic claret, it is always so demure and understated, yet so profound. Jean-Hubert Delon's wines are built to age, and this looks like it has a very long future ahead. A wonderful perfume of griotte and stony minerals cut with hints of wild flowers and red hedgerow fruit. This is so composed and unostentatious - it exudes class and refinement in such an understated way. Waves of pure, noble fruits effortlessly glide over the palate, it is graceful and charming, yet powerful and intense. It feels so natural, the seamless transition from palate to the fruit covered tannins. Every time you return to the glass it reveals new nuances, precise, mineral-laden raspberry and blackberry fruit, spice and sapidity. A long and serious wine, but not lacking any pleasure despite its muscularity and grandeur. It will live long and will prosper! 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot.
