Barolo, Cannubi, 2022
A powerful Cannubi, mingling dark and red fruits, soy and stones, in a full-bodied quite structured way. It opens up to show lovely ripe fruits, the acidity overall soft and pliant through to a glamorous finish. Production totals three barrels, equivalent to just 900bts. From the historic central part of Cannubi, steep and well-draining, the wine was aged for 24 months in 15% new barrique after fermentation in stainless steel.

The 2022 Barolo Cannubi shows the pedigree of this great site. Deep, layered and sumptuous in the glass, the Cannubi offers terrific textural richness and resonance, with fine energy and delineation to match. Dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, espresso and cloves build effortlessly through the mid-palate and into the voluptuous, silky finish.
