Gives up scents of yellow apples and juicy pears with touches of dill seed and white pepper. The light-bodied palate is crisp and lively with citrus-laced flavors and a steely finish.
The 2024 Pique Caillou Blanc has an attractive nose: citrus lemon, red apple and a hint of orange pith, with an underlying <em>mineralité</em> that bodes well for the future. The palate is well balanced with a tangy entry. It has fine weight and depth, with a silver thread of acidity keeping it tensile. This is a well-crafted Pessac-Léognan that should not be underestimated.
Softly spoken, lovely bright white fruits, charming, lime zest, saffron and white flowers, soft on the finish but good quality. Isabelle and Paulin Calvet. 36 hl/ha
